New Articles Needed: Site and Forum now Linked

Yes, putting the audio plays up would be great. On the other hand, I certainly wouldn't do it within explicit permission and I'd obviously prefer those responsible to be able to present them.
If you'd like to, let me know.

Well, HStorm is your man to go to on this, although considering the amount of new peoples who'll get to have a listen to what I still consider some very solid pieces of drama I cannot imagine any serious objections arising. They'd get a damn sight more exposure than any Wordpress site I could throw together, that's for sure.

I'm happy to write an article for the site. I'm a writer by trade and it's something I've wanted to do for a while. The site could do with some new content too - if Knightmare does make it back to the telly that'll probably mean an influx of traffic, so it would be good if they could arrive to a regularly updated site.
What sort of articles are you looking for, Mystara? I can do analysis and such (like Forester did in the Lexicon) or something more serious if you prefer. Basically I'm open to whatever ideas you have.

(I assume you meant 'WITHOUT permission'... but never mind.) You have my happy endorsement in all circumstances.

Obviously a preference is for anything that might be of interest or worth discussion to the community.
Personally, I'm a fan of the analysis and commentary articles. But we'll accept anything that we think people will be interested in, to be honest.
If it's news related, or a download, then we can accept those too.

That's excellent.
I'll try to set up the login system some time this week. Badger me if I haven't done it by next Sunday.
That way you'll be able to upload things directly.

Professionally I write topical featurettes for a football programme, and that sort of thing is transferable. How about an analysis of the series' controversial deaths and a verdict on whether or not they were fair or unfair?
-
I think that'd be quite popular.
Actually, I think there's a topic about it on the forums somewhere. Maybe someone can provide the link
-
Is this the one you mean?

Can't remember if there's an older thread or not.
-
'Spose this is the problem: KM forums have been around for 10 years so everything that could be discussed has already been discussed. Then again this is all about glossing things up so I suppose repackaging it as a snazzy featurette article can't do any harm.
-
That looks like the right thread.
There's no harm in repackaging what's been discussed. Call it "well-researched" if you like. I doubt that, in any case, anyone has actually bothered to read all the articles, summarise them, and then form a single, well-argued conclusion.

Might as well write something, no harm in doing so. You got any deadlines and such?
-
Nope
-
Okay, I'll write something at some point. I'm juggling projects at the moment so God knows when it'll get done, but I suppose nothing can go up until the site and the forum have actually been linked.
-
Excellent, I shall look forward to it
-
Just to follow up - it's now possible to log in to knightmare.com and upload articles to the website.
-
May take a while to write something now, I'm afraid - I write programme articles for my local football team, and yesterday I was offered the chance to write every game rather than every second or third. This is coupled with various commitments to people on deviantArt and many pieces of original work I'm doing.
I'm going to try my very best to write something, no matter how small, and I have source material to draw from. You'll just have to bear with me and I'll see what I can do.
-
No problems.
Any member of the site can now log in and submit an article straight from the website. We'll be notified of this immediately, so hopefully someone will be able to edit the article fairly quickly after that, make any necessary changes, and then set it up for publication on the main site.
-
Good news - I've made a start on an article for the site. At a guess I'd say it needs a few more days of work, but needless to say I'll be straight back in touch once it's finished.

Awesome
