Ooo, now this is an unexpected one. Definitely warrents a new section on the site, methinks. Nicely done you two, this will go up when I do my next round of uploadings. And yes, links to YT will be provided.

Right now, pretty much every commentary in this thread has now been cleaned up, converted, and uploaded to the website. Only exception are the ones appearing here that are in .wma format, which isn't a format that Audacity can work with. If anyone has submittied in .wma and wants me to remove any background noise, please repost in .wav and I will clean up and post ASAP. Other than that, we're now fully up to date.

        Good job.

Please could you let me know which of mine/mine and Jake's are WMAs so that I can convert them to WAVs and send them to you.

        Thanks

I think only your series 8, episode 9 needs doing.

Just checking, I need to upload Le Chevalier du Labyrinthe as well. Will do that tomorrow, so if you can get a .wav of the other one, I'll do both at once.

OK, I'll send them as WAV files via Sendspace.

Just realised another one that's missing - Rosey and me talking about Series 7 Episode 8. I'll Sendspace that as a WAV to you too.

These are .wma files and I can't convert them, but they're not going anywhere so you (Andy or Martin) could just put the MediaFire links on The Dunshelm Players website. The same goes for the "Le Chevalier" commentary.

Probably said this before plenty of times, but these commentaries are fantastic. They remind me of when me and my brother would watch the repeats on Challenge/Sci Fi and talk endlessly about cack going on in the episode, paying not a blind bit of notice to the plot or stuff like that. Not that these commentaries are anything like our conversations, because they actually have a sense of humour.

The commentaries also have a replay value matching that of the series. It's nice to pick a random commentary once in a while and listen to other people discussing the same nonsense we did all those years ago.

Thanks to everyone concerned, and keep up the excellent work! Interesting to hear all these different opinions.

We forgot to post the Youtube links for the El Rescate episode we commentated on - here they are:

This link on the Dunshelm Players site links to the WRONG commentary:

Series 2, Episode 5, with Jake Collins http://www.mediafire.com/?5eztiuqnyzm

And I couldn't get these ones to open at all:

I have included the MediaFire links in case they need to be re-uploaded to the Dunshelm Players site!

Yes. Very yes, in fact. Along with yours and Rosey's Sidriss sketch, and all previously-not-on-the-website commentaries. It'll be the equivalent of waiting decades for a bus and having over 9000 turn up at once. Or something.

But really, stuff will be going up over the next couple of days.

This is very good news indeed. If you're sorting out commentaries, I did a trawl of all mine and Rosey's just before Christmas and I found only one that still doesn't link to the right file. I posted this in the Commentaries thread too, but here it is again, with the MediaFire link in case you need to re-download the original file:

Also during that trawl, I found a bunch of commentaries that weren't opening at all. I thought maybe that was just a glitch on the day, but Rosey tells me these are still not working. Again, I've included the MediaFire links in case you need the original files.

Also, I've just heard from Rosey that my commentary for the final episode of Series 2 cuts out after about a minute, so I guess that needs re-uploading!

Here are some MP3s of the three very quiet commentaries with me and Ross, and I personally think this is the clearest version of these anyone's managed to make so far. So if anyone ever wants to stick them with the rest of the commentaries, or just download them for their own selfish pleasure, here they are:

I've just had a look through and make a list of all the commentaries that have been done, and have noticed that four are missing:

                                        Series 2 Episode 5 - Rosey

                                        Series 7 Episode 8 - Rosey & Ross

El Rescate del Talisman - Jake & Ross

I've been listening to these and finding them almost as addictive as the episodes themselves - many thanks for recording them! I haven't always agreed with what's been said, but they're very interesting and entertaining nonetheless, sometimes pointing out things I hadn't noticed before, and totally hilarious at times. (I particularly enjoyed Jake & Rosey's ranting about Anthony Donovan, haha - glad it's not just me who thought his improvisation skills were terrible! Their impression of Christopher's Blocker death really cracked me up as well.) Great work guys. It's a shame none of the ex-contestants are still around on the forum - wouldn't it be cool to hear some of them record a commentary track!

Any chance of re-uploading the missing Rosey commentary (S2 E5)? The link in this thread has expired.

Btw, the Spanish castles were actually filmed by the Knightmare team, rather than swapped with El Rescate Del Talisman as speculated on the Series 7 commentaries. It's mentioned in the Summer 1993 issue of The Quest, and Mark Wells told me that he went over there twice - "once for a recce, and then again a few weeks later with the crew to do the actual shooting." I don't know if they used the footage in the Spanish version as well.

Speaking of which, I must listen to the commentaries for the French & Spanish episodes now!
