Joanne Heywood information...

Want to hear Joanne Heywood singing in an American accent?

As noted by Kieran, one of Joanne's biggest TV roles was in Grace & Favour, the 1992-1993 sequel to Are You Being Served (RIP David Croft). Miss Lovelock appeared in every episode and was particularly admired by Captain Peacock, while the women tended to bitch about her. It's not hard to see how she got the Stiletta role after this - her character is quite similar in voice and attitude, not to mention the innuendo-laden remarks!
Here are some links to her main scenes in the show...
3:39 - First impressions.
6:21, 9:04 - Living arrangements. She has another line at 2:25.
2:11, 6:49 - Has anyone seen her whip?
5:54 - Thrown into a ditch by her horse.
6:12, 7:58 - Wearing only a towel... and then motorbike leathers.
1:59 - She got tossed.
2:00, 9:01 - Fortunately she has very strong thighs.
0:00, 3:34 - Lawnmower problems.
4:14, 5:23 - Hotel staff rehearsal. Continued at the start of this clip, in which she also appears at 7:20.
5:14 - Mucking out the cowshed.
6:44, 7:34 - Singing at a church service.
4:21, 6:19 - Shaking her tambourine for the harvest dance.
9:12 - Having a dig at Miss Brahms. Continued here, with a further scene at 1:57.
0:25, 5:00 - Talking to the police about sleeping with a stallion.
2:06, 9:00 - Painting the crease.
2:27, 5:26 - Crosswords and cricket.
6:43 - Man of the match.
2:20 - Riding lesson.
9:12 - Failing to recognise Mrs Slocombe in disguise. Continued here with more at 2:30 and 4:35.
2:32, 8:06 - Sorting through old paintings. She also plays Leonora in Peacock's fantasy.
0:00 - She appears pretty much throughout this part, involving a trip to the museum. Continued here, with Joanne at 0:43 and 2:55.
2:00, 7:46 - Working in the stables and behind the bar.
4:21 - She went to ballet school...
6:55 - Dancing with Mr Humphries!
2:01, 6:12, 7:55 - Secrets and sheep.
7:51 - Trying to avert a brawl.
0:44 - Raiding sheep.
Enjoy!

Joanne is appearing in the Charles Ross play Dead Ringer at Bournemouth's Pavilion Theatre in August. I spotted her face on a poster!

I hadn't seen Joanne's website before. And I don't think I've seen this pic of Stiletta before!

Amusingly she appeared in a play called 'Nightfright' in 2010.
She also has a fairly new YouTube channel with videos of her TV and stage work:
~ Compilation of Miss Lovelock's scenes in Grace & Favour (1992-93)
~ Dining with her incompetent boyfriend in a Pillsbury Bread Twists advert (1992)
~ Fascinated by a man's microbes in a Head & Shoulders advert (1993)
~ As a parachute instructor in Coronation Street (1997)
~ Burgled and battered to death by a psycho ex in Heartbeat (2000)
~ Flirting with Garry in EastEnders (2004)
~ As a physiotherapist in Emmerdale (2004), mentioned by Kieran earlier in this thread
~ Her scene as a patient in My Hero (2005)
~ With her bloated friend in a Danone Activia Yoghurt advert (2005), also discussed on here at the time
~ Another appearance in Coronation Street, as a drama teacher (2008)
~ And last but certainly not least, hamming it up magnificently as the wicked fairy in a Sleeping Beauty pantomime (2008) - a glimpse of what might have been, had she ever been cast as a sorceress in Knightmare!
A few other clips of Joanne that I found elsewhere:
~ As a fitness video instructor in a BUPA advert (1999) at 0:32
~ Eating turkey ham slices in a Bernard Matthews advert (2004) at 2:05
~ As a talking coin in an advert for the Financial Services Authority (2009)
~ Finish Quantumatic dishwashing advert (2010)
~ And her latest appearance in Emmerdale, as Pauline Quirke's solicitor in June last year - the relevant scenes are at 4:21 / 11:14 and 4:57.
The woman truly never ages!

I went to see Dead Ringer this evening - Joanne played Eva, the Prime Minister's wife. (The PM himself was played by David Callister, who once appeared in a short film starring Juliet Henry-Massy.) It was great to see her performing live, I hadn't seen any KM actor in person before.
She used the same voice as she did in Knightmare, and her character reminded me somewhat of Stiletta's portrayal in fanfics! The website now includes some images from the show. -
Joanne is currently starring in The Snow Gorilla in Kingston upon Thames (see article on the front page). Here's an interview with her that I just found:
And here's a photo of her in the show:

I loved seeing Joanne in this video rehearsing for Sleeping Beauty. She's always great to watch. I haven't been to a panto since I was little but if she ever plays one in my town, I'd be tempted to go see it! Still wish she'd been given a second, villainous role in Knightmare - that would have been awesome.
She has uploaded a couple of adverts to her YouTube channel in recent months:

(Ooh, nice tea... not)

How she keeps a straight face with that creepy guy pestering her in the book shop, I don't know!
