It's nostalgia for me, mainly, because Series 4 was the first I saw. Plus, though 1-3 are brilliant, I think I prefer the layout and structure of the later levels...but not Series 8.

Knightmare on Challenge: episode schedule -
The Night of the DoctorWhy - and indeed how - did the Seventh Doctor manage to change clothes during the battle with the Daleks?
Yes, I noticed that. They've taken a clip from the 1987-89 series and followed it with a shot from the 1996 film. It was extremely obvious, and rather silly of them, I thought.

An Adventure in Space and TimeThis one from 2010 with Mark Gatiss and Rory Kinnear as the main characters: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_First_Men_in_the_Moon_(2010_film)

Knightmare on Challenge: episode scheduleThanks. Well, it must have been a misprint.
I know this isn't a popular opinion but I really wish they'd show Series 4-7.

An Adventure in Space and TimeYes - I'm a big fan of Reece Shearsmith (and of all LoG/Pscychoville things generally) so I was curious. I'm not the greatest Dr Who enthusiast so I don't know if he was a good choice for Troughton, dramatically speaking, but he looked nothing like him.
David Bradley was marvellous (award nomination?) and the programme was well-written and entertaining. Mark Gatiss should write more biopics and other works (anyone see The First Men In The Moon?) My only qualm with this story was Matt Smith's cameo as I thought it broke the spell a bit.

Knightmare on Challenge: episode scheduleI've been trying to record all the episodes by setting up a timer using the on-screen TV guide. However, nothing has been recorded since the end of October. According to the Radio Times Knightmare is still being broadcast, but the guide is showing other programmes at those times instead and therefore nothing gets recorded. Has anybody else found this?
Thanks.

Knightmare on Challenge: episode scheduleDoes anybody know if the other series will be broadcast?

knightmare on youtubeI'm so relieved I decided to watch all eight series (and my favourite bits in series 4-6 and in series 7) more than once before this happened, but it's such a disappointment. There seem to be odd bits still available but I'm not holding my breath that they'll survive for much longer. I'll miss the comments too - both reading and writing them.
I wondered if perhaps Sky might make a YouTube channel for them as Channel 4 etc. have done with various other programmes e.g. Whose Line is it Anyway?. We'd have to put up with adverts in the middle but it'd be better than nothing. However, as has already been mentioned, if making money is the object a DVD release is the only way.

Knightmare on Challenge: episode scheduleDo we know if it's going to be more than just Series 1? (I really want to see Series 4-6 on a proper screen!)

What age are you...?I'm 29 (30 by the end of the year). Old enough to remember much of Knightmare, but unfortunately not all. Well, I was alive, of course, but I don't think I'd discovered it until sometime in Series 4. By Series 8 I gave up because it had changed too much for my liking.

Eye Shield Footage QuestionThanks.

Eye Shield Footage QuestionThanks, everybody. I kept thinking how silly the advisers were for giving the Dungeoneer directions when it was prerecorded, particularly when they said things like "Go back...No, the other way" during moments like looking out of the window. It's good to know the Dungeoneer wasn't just standing there, twiddling their thumbs...well, more like passing the two objects from hand to hand.
-
Eye Shield Footage QuestionThis is probably a really stupid question (and I'm sorry if I'm repeating another post) but:
As the Eye Shield footage was obviously pre-recorded and none of the team had any control over it, what was the Dungeoneer doing at those moments?
Taking a breather, sans helmet?
Just standing there?
Being led around across the set in the corresponding direction by the crew?
Something else?
Thanks

FAVOURITESFrom Series 6, Episode 1:
MATT: (Picking up food) It's a croissant.
Got to love him wiping his hand on Sylvester as well.
I love the changing expressions on Pickle's face when Merlin asks him if he wants 'a hint' in the Christmas episode.
The Dungeoneer saying "Down, boy!" to the descender.

Unintended Knightmare references in filmsLord Fear, his costume, manner of speaking, general demeanour and pool of voracity put me in mind very much of Evil from Time Bandits. Idiot henchmen such as Skarkill, Hands and Lissard could stand in quite well for the likes of Robert and 'We-can-make-beans-into-peas' Benson.
