Can we see a new era of KnightmareHi Kam,
Tell me where to register and i will do so, what should i do when you say "registered your support for DVDs or downloadable episodes", Is there a place to do this or do you mean simple email the guys at ITV. God i feel so small though, would it not be a better idea to have a planned mass email campaign. We could set a date or 3 dates in close proximity, put it on the facebook fanpage, put it on the websites frontpage anywhere to get people in the know and then keep people reminding them so they dont forget, then when the time comes ITV get thousands of emails looking for a DVD set of knightmare, this might even peek interest in rediscovering the series somewhat.
Oh when i left a message back in April the website was no where near as good as it is now (good job by the way, its looking brilliant) and the forum seemed to lack a community that appeared to be a lot more vigorous several years ago (i dont know maybe i was looking in the wrong discussions completely so apologies if im wrong lol). I guess i got sad to see support dwindle but thats all changed as there seems to be a new lease of life coming and I randomly see review videos of knightmare from online critics e.g. from the states:
http://spoonyexperiment.com/2008/08/17/knightmare-review/
(check it out, spoony is a legend, actually he might be a good guy to get support from as hes a huge Knightmare fan and has a large fanbase).
Long story short is i feel there is still hope and i believe we can acheive something by gather to fans together and setting them a goal.

Can we see a new era of KnightmareHi Guys,
All the way back on April 3rd of 2010 i was shocked to view very much a lack a of forum activity here at knightmare.com so i sent out a forum message in the general discussion asking if there would ever be a complete DVD of knightmare and to please keep commenting away as we as a whole were the voice for knightmare.
As time goes by I believe the show would survive a comeback with the advent of World of Warcraft and other well renown online rpgs, infact i think it would do amazing well if done correctly. I know the show would have to be re-formatted but it would need to hold its original roots (which would attract the old fans aswell),Tregor who is a CITV unspoken legend in my opinion would need to come back. A lot of things on ITV or HTV (depending where you located) is dying in my opinion (i know some have survived before you say it lol). Where should we go, what should we do? Surely we can pitch someone, somewhere.
If im talking total shite, fair be it but at the very least we as a group can make our own proper dvds cheaply so that everyone can enjoy past series and remember the old times (on the sly at least).
kind regards,
Peter

Was Knightmare really a competition?Hi Folks,
This my first post on this website. I have known about this website for about 3 years now but i only officially joined the website just now. I was a huge fan of Knightmare when i was growing it. There was no show like it at the time and it totally transported me into another world when i was watching it. I have very fond memories of Knightmare (Plus the intro music was great). I figured now would be a great time to ask a question i always wanted answered.
Generally the show used a lot of actors ,sets and special effects which led me to believe it was not really a competition/game show that people competed in, instead it was more of a soap opera than a game in order to entertain us. Such questions like how could teams possibly play the game with their dungeoner, giving him/her directions, when the set they were on was constantly changed, this ment the game could never be played in real time. Im led to believe that Knightmare was indeed a competition and that recording involved a lot of breaks.
Could someone please tell a little more of exactly what the process was e.g. When the set was ready was the team told to get placed beside their screen and then the dungeoner was put in place also on a set (blinded by the helmet of course) being told to follow his teams instructions. I can imagine this was quite a tedious process. Anyway if someone could shed some light for me on that i would be forever grateful .
kind regards,
Peter
P.S. Even now my heart is a little sad when i think about to Knightmare and how i miss it.

Please dont give up on the WebsiteHi Guys,
From looking at a lot of the messages (especially the more recent ones), i get the feeling a lot of people have given up on the website and the hope of a Knightmare dvd release or dare i say it a new series. While i will admit it appears Knightmare will indeed just become a Nostalgic memory lets use this website as a place to remember Knightmare and its accomplishments. When it came out it was truly revolutionary and though it hasn't aged well i still have to love the pure imagination that went into the show by Tim Child its creator.
I was very young when i discovered the show, barely 7 years of age, but as soon as i saw it i was hooked and watched every single episode. When it ended in 1994 and went off our screens i never knew as no one had the internet back then and it was hardly going to be broadcast-ed on the news. Like a poor sap i waited for the next season but it never came which when i look back on it is kinda upsetting in a dormant childish memory sort of way lol.
So im curious what was your nicest memory of Knightmare. Mine was simply when someone actually won as you were there right with them from start to finish and it almost felt like you won as well. Once they were handed the trophy they were seen walking away into the sun set (bluescreen of course lol) which was a nice touch.
I look forward to hearing your replies.
regards,
Peter
