I still think they should have left in the bit where one of the candles set fire to Merlin's beard and he decided to use a spell to put it out. (Oh, I can see you know where this is going, you clever little thing, dearie!) Of course, he spellcast so slowly that soon enough it was a blazing inferno. He was last seen running desperately back toward Arthurian legend trying to put it out with his silly little wand. Mogdred was victorious, and everyone joined him in laughing evilly at the bearded old fool. Having finally won their battle, Mogdred and his pet Quail retired to Torquay.
