Did the advisors actually know they could give the dungeoneer the answer? The elephant one was surely far too easy for all FOUR of them to not get it.

You know you've watched too much knightmare when...-
You wake up in the middle of the night with nightmares about the original life force
-
When someone has an accident you immediately want to say "Oooh nasty" (Every knightmare fan must have done that)
Guilty as charged. Especially the second one. I must say "oooh nasty" about 10 times a day.

Series 2 - Episode 12A thought. What if the team had decided against taking the bottle from the room before the clue room? Would they have been in losing status?
I think they would have been attacked by a cavernwraith in the clue room. When they died, Treguard would have said "Well, you could have picked up the item to defeat it, team, but you passed it up...".

The return of the Caption Contest
Hi, someone told me this was the green room.

Series 2 - Episode 7Aw, I wanted to catch the riddles they couldn't get. Can someone please post them up (minus the answers)?

Series 2 - Episode 5Anyone else notice that if the dungeoneer hadn't got his left and right mixed up, they would have stepped straight into the hole in the stained-glass room?

Celebrity Knightmare ?Tarrantor: Here is my first. Where lies the blow that does no harm but ends the common man?
Dungeoneer: Um...
Tarrantor: Do you want to phone a friend?
Dungeoneer: Yes please.
Tarrantor: Well, you can't. So there.

Re:Let's think of some bad knightmare puns and phrases!!Treguard: No, team, for the last time, Mogred and Mildred are NOT related.

Suddenly, the life force meter turns around, realising that there is an enormous bumble bee right behind him.

Re:GoblinsWell, they didn't accept presents, anyway.

Favourite EndJericho was the name of a city in the Old Testament. It seemed inpenetrable to the Israelites, so God told them to walk around it 3 times, then blow their horns really loudly. The walls fell down by divine intervention. Hence the "Where is the horn to bring down the walls of Jericho?" quote.
-
Celebrity Knightmare ?Tony Blair: the reason these dungeons are so run down is due to the years of under-funding by the conservatives.
If it was the french version, you just KNOW Gordon Brown would guide Tony off of a cliff so he could take command.

Video Game?Umm...the one I wrote about? It doesn't exist. Sadly.

Series 2 - Episode 1I liked the room with Mildread and her wellway-cauldron thing! Why was she silent at the beginning though? The team walked up the steps and almost stepped into it - good thing Treguard intervened! They had the right object, but they didn't earn the secret of its use from the wall monster - so died in the bomb room next!
Shame really. Seems a bit too hard, having to get 3/3 on the riddles on level 1! Or did they have to take a different item and gain the clue from Mildread?
Mildread wasn't silent. She was using the adviser's voice to try and lure the dungeoneer into her cauldron.
Most likely, the gauntlet's secret would have been obtained by having the "bat's wings" jar from the clue room, instead of the key.

Video Game? That's because it's an emulated Spectrum game.
I posted a game idea months ago which people seemed to like. I'll look for it. (edit: found it)
I don't know if any decent ones have been made, but here's my idea for one.
The game is set up a la Dungeon Keeper style, with the exception of Watcher Mode which is more familar with the TV series.
In Knightmare, you get to choose one of three modes:
Treguard Mode: In Treguard mode, your goal is to get dungeoneers through the dungeons to collect all 4 quest objects (cup, sword, shield, crown). The first few dungeons are easy pickings, with pathetic traps and clumsy goblins being the only obstacles. However, as you progress further through the game, the dungeons get tougher and longer, from just one level to having a whopping four levels! And remember, since you have to get at least four dungeoneers through each dungeon section (to get a diff quest object each time), you had better plan your strategy. Should you give this dungeoneer a bit more training, or should you throw him while the hobgoblin is busy with the last carcass? The decision is yours, but remember the time limit that the game imposes....fail to meet it and your career as dungeon master is over.
Watcher mode: In watcher mode, your goal is direct the dungeoneer through the world of the Dungeon. Using shortkey combinations (sl means sidestep left for example), you must keep your friend safe and make him pick up the right objects before proceeding. This mode is unique in that there is no real limit on time, but you only get one shot...and the Game Over screen is that lovely Death Sequence from series 1-4, full screen and in your face.
Lord Fear mode: In Lord Fear mode, your goal is to STOP the dungeoneers getting through the dungeon. This is more like Dungeon Keeper, but it's doubly ruthless. As well as keeping the monsters hungry for fresh meat and making sure traps are maintained (people get through PYCR without a scratch even though they keep picking the wrong card!) you also have to keep the dungeon clean(!), otherwise contestants will be more aware of the dangers. Lord Fear mode has no money as such, but each improvement takes time and the dungeoneers don't wait around. As the game progresses, you get given less and less each time to start with, and have to add your own traps. Certain traps may only be used once however, such as the Corridor of Blades and other favourites.
Lord Fear game over is when the dungeoneers have redeemed all 4 quest objects in a dungeon. You have to keep them out for a time period of around an hour in each level.
And the hardest part of the game: Modgred mode. Although, this is never really a mode, it's a feature. When turned on, Modgred begins to interfere in everything. Goblins carefully positioned for maximum effienency get scared off by magic swords, the dungeoneers become invisible....everything goes haywire when Modgred is angry....
Available for PC, with Internet play (LF mode vs TG mode)

Series 1 - Episode 6The whole "going left when right was right" was a bit sad, really. They probably figured it was towards the (locked) door, then when they noticed their life-force was kinda low...(i.e. the eyesocket was flying towards the screen!) they decided to plump for a door and perhaps slow down the LFC (as seen in other episodes). Of course, they died in the bomb room, so it was academic.
As for the Corridor of the Catacombs, why do they go bloody LEFT? It says, in the adventurer's code, that the correct path is often described as the RIGHT hand path! Muppets.
Oh, and the items from Granitas were unusual. Note the key AND the gauntlet. Taking the gauntlet and the roses would have been interesting. Imagine Treguard:
"Well, team, you've stopped the bomb, but you're now stuck in a room with no exit. Flowers can't unlock doors."
