Would've loved to have come if I could but recovering from surgery last month so unable to walk far or sit down for long periods. Hope you have a good day/weekend at the concert

Your Favourite Treguard IntroFor me, Treguard's episode introductions are some of the most quotable aspects of Knightmare.
Personally, his Season 4 intro (pre titles, for episode 1) is my overall favourite. The atmosphere and speech feel pretty intense...and then comes rolling in the new theme arrangement. Ahhh yes it takes me straight back to 1990.
Which one is your favourite?
+1. Agree totally and for the same reasons

Trailer for Knightmare Series 1Oh cool that brings back memories strangely (think I was ill that day when it was shown). Cheers for the link

The new KM episode is up!For me:-
Good points:
It was great to see Hugo Myatt, Mark Knight and Cliff Barry back in their roles after what seems and feels like an age. I just felt that Isy's performance was a bit on the wooden side (and I didn't expect her to say "what the fuck is it (or was that)??"
Although Ashen made a great dungeoneer, I didn't click with the team, and it came across a bit too comical for me.
The best looking environment was probably Lord Fear's mount fear room. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the other rooms which tbh looked extremely basic (even rooms from series 8 knightmare looked better) and had mismatched textures. This was mostly apparent in Treguard's ante-chamber where the brick walls didn't match/line up, and a flat bitmap was used for the fireplace. After looking at it twice, it could have been intentional to make the rooms look a bit old school/naff. Don't even get me started on those MS paint cobwebs
I felt things did improve towards the end, but the episode felt like it was a bit too rushed (evidenced by a couple of jump cuts (one being where Lord Fear talked about Ashen's weapon which them abrtuply cut (I'm guessing they must've had a good laugh at that line), and tbh I think had they asked the KM community for help, that I dare say people would've jumped at the chance to help and make it look better.
I hope this opens up new avenues for Knightmare, but don't feel that the opportunity that was given was used to it's fullest.

Sound On Challenge?I know Series 5 was recorded in Nicam (possibly 4) listening to the masters. To be honest, it's only in series 8 that the nicam stereo gets a good full usage (most especially on the title sequence).
-
Sound On Challenge?Regarding Audio faults, on Episode 14 on sunday morning, I noticed that the audio in the Right Stereo Channel was basically almost absent. It was barely audible on that channel, but most of the audio was in the Left (Nope, it wasn't a fault with the tv, as when teh adverts came on, the right channel was in full use again).

Filthy ChallengeHere are some notes from a conversation with someone from Challenge? ----
wasn't that the ratings weren't good.
they want to push somewhere else with other programmes
was doing well (ratings wise)
moving towards action/adventure
So Knightmare was indeed doing fine with the ratings, apparently it's just not the direction they want to go in at the moment (but why did they want to get Knightmare in the first place? Also, surely Knightmare is considered "Traditional Action/Adventure game" ?
Since when has Takeshi's Castle (although a fantastic programme) been traditional action/adventure? (although it does bear resemblance to "It's A Knock-Out"
Furthermore, if you wish to contact any people at Challenge? Then we suggest you go through the
and they should have a contact list

Lord Fear, the spyglass and so forthSomebody was frozen actually
Series 6 Team 1
Matt was the dungeoneer, and the team had to "cry the reverse of EPACSE". They didn't really die, but they were frozen.

After Series 3.....Hi
Was discussed on a similar thread.
Series 8 would be the next one they buy (or the one they've been looking at to get next)

Velda?Hi. Please could Velda email me at treguard1@hotmail.com

RED BUTTON !!!!Bleeding hell. Do they really need to put that big "PRESS RED BUTTON" sign in the top left? it obscured poor old Treguard's head in the episode today in some shots. Think it would be great if people who find this annoying to could email challenge and ask them to remove it just for the duration of the programme (the challenge? logo in the right corner is much more tolerable as at least it's transparent in bits)

ABUK DVDnah don't be daft it's fun
-
Knightmare on Challenge scheduleGrrr. They didn't use mine or debz interviews
-
ABUK DVDFirst time i've managed to get on the bloody site since Sunday (knightmare.com)
anyway, the guy at AB said to wait till a couple on months into the new year. they would before looking at mid/late 2003 releases
-
Knightmare on Challenge scheduleNo. atm, they have paid a license to show each episode 10 times. They can of course renew that after if they wish (it's a bit like sci-fi how they didn't renue their contract)
-
Knightmare on Challenge scheduleNot to worry. Challenge? Have bought for 10 showings of each episode. Although it's a tad confusing as in january they'll've used 4 repeats for the first two episodes and then only 2 for the other ones. hmm. Spoke with the guy at challenge? btw and he highly doubts they would show Knightmare on FTN as he said FTn aren't interested in showing those types of programmes (through challenge on there btw)

Parody of The 12 Days of Christmas'On the ninth day of Christmas, my Challenge gave to me
Nine jesters laughing
Eight teams-a-winning
Seven walls-a-riddling
Six witches cackling
Five frightknights
Four quest objects
Three dungeon levels
Two clue items
And a Treguard who says "Oooh, Nasty".
-
TreguardYes. A lot of people in different chat rooms /different channels mention that one
And in Wcnews there's a guy on there with the s/n "TreeBeard" So apparently i'm his guard :S
-
Other 8 episodes to be scheduled8 episode scheduled as you know on Challenge after Christmas
I spoke with a contact i have at Challenge? and the other 8 episodes will be scheduled even if the ratings are poor (he stated that they would have to be seriously poor to be a concern and it looks doubtful there'd be any need to worry).
When they will buy the rest of the series is another matter. One thing that could happen is if the ratings soar high, Anglia could see this and bump up the price of each series for them to buy.

That riddle...I believe Cliff crawled on the floor through the low exit. I think! not sure on that one.
