Powers that Be

An overview of the characters that make up the Powers that Be

The Powers that Be worked for the side of truth and justice. Its characters included jesters, wizards, knights, and keepers of the good-natured dragon Smirkenorff. They were generally happy to help dungeoneers and work against the Opposition - some more so than others.

The Powers that Be became more prominent in the later series – especially after the introduction of Lord Fear in Series 5. One character of interest is Hordriss the Confuser, who began as a neutral (and even threatening) character before aligning himself with the Powers that Be.
