I'm not sure who did the voices for the characters, but they do sound quite similar to Mark Knight and Cliff Barry. Still, it's good to see evidence of the good ol' saracastic humour and banter between Lord Fear and Lissard!

As for the second clip, the wall monster voice does sound like Bernard Scripps (Peter Benson) from Heartbeat... the monster itself is also reminiscent of the depressed Gargoyle from Series 1 & 2 of Knightmare!

The old gargoyles and this new "Despair" monster do sound a bit like Marvin... I half expect them to suddenly say "I think you ought to know, I'm feeling very depressed..."!

I recently visited the Knightmare VR News section of the Televirtual website and found that there are two more video clips available for download, alongside the original causeway scene.

They are entitled "The Return of Lord Fear" and "Despair Encounter" and they can both be downloaded from the news page at http://televirtual.com/news2.htm. Both of them look quite interesting!

Are these two videos new? I haven't been to the Televirtual website for a while, so I'm not sure how recently it was updated and I apologise if they have already been pointed out. However, I couldn't find mention of them on the forum, so I thought I'd speak up anyway!

Wait a sec... "Oakley" has been repeated, it's been used on page 5 and page 8. Should we go back and take it from "Greenwoods"?

[Well, I guess zzt's "A Present" could continue on from Moana's "Julie" anyway, so I'll just take it on from "A present".]

    General Discussion

I don't know if there were any commercially released Knightmare Top Trumps cards, but I do know that 'The Quest' Newsletter printed some cut-out cards in some of the issues (they are the only version of a Knightmare Top Trumps game I know of).

There is a bit about them in the 'Club' section on KM.com here:

    http://www.knightmare.com/club/3-1/p4.htm

    and here:

    http://www.knightmare.com/club/3-2/p4.htm

I'm not sure if those are the ones you were looking for, or if you've already seen them, but I thought I would just mention them anyway because I saw them when I was browsing through KM.com recently, and then I saw your post today!

Anyway, not all of the cards are shown there, so I don't know where you would be able to find a complete set!

It wouldn't work for me when I first tried it at 8:00pm, and I tried to get in at various later times during the night but to no avail :(. There was probably something wrong with the server (as neither my Windows or web-based clients would connect), but I think it is working again now.

This thread is hilarious! I'm never that good at doing these things, but here are my feeble attempts:

You are riding Smirkenorff, who goes into a spin-dive and an oxygen mask falls from above along with things from the overhead compartment.

The Dreadnaught really does turn out to be a re-animated Dead Wart... and Pickle becomes very smug.

A dungeoneer holds a spyglass so long that the sun sets fire to his foot.

A dungeoneer leaps enthusiastically into the Wellway, only to find that it is a real well, full of water and pretty deep.

Treguard can't find either Helmet of Justice, so he loans the dungeoneer his biker Helmet.

A dungeoneer decides to take the helmet off, grab a dagger clue-object and hold one of the characters hostage in one of the now blue rooms until his team is announced as being winners.

The FrightKnight timer from the causeway comes to life and tries to lob the dungeoneer's head off.

The boat springs a leak in the boat-ride section.

The dungeoneer gets ambushed by seven familiar-looking dwarves, only to be rescued (willingly) by Sir Hugh de Witless and a pack of 'enlightened' goblins who have seen the error of their ways.

Smirkenorff lands in the Bahamas and insists you stay there for a week or two.

Pickle secretly teams up with the Opposition and starts placing poisonous items in the knapsack.

One of the team reaches the Quest Item chamber, only to realise that Treguard has all the Quest Items and only sent them in for a laugh.

All the characters from the all the early series' who disappeared crawl out of the knapsack after being lost in there for years.

A dungeoneer tries to start a quest, but finds the gate locked and a signboard on the dungeon entrance stating "Closed for refurbishing."

    Thanks for reading!

    Knightmare on Challenge?

I think that Knightmare should make it onto the Challenge TV website list at some time soon, since it will be shown during peak viewing time, so they need to tell more people about it. They should also start promoting it more actively now by advertising it on air as well (as JamesP said in his post on the Challenge TV forum), which will be very helpful for it!

And I agree that this website will help to promote the series repeats a lot... probably in a better and more practical way than my suggestions!

    Knightmare on Challenge?

I have thought of a list of the 'Top 12 Ways to Promote Knightmare on Challenge TV' . They are as follows:

    1] Tell your friends

2] Tell your friends' friends (and so on...)

3] Tell any complete strangers that you happen to meet

4] Tell any friends of the complete strangers that you happen to meet (and so on...)

5] Wear an item of clothing proudly announcing the repeats on Challenge TV

6] Turn as many televisions in your house (and other people's houses) to Challenge TV for the duration of the repeats

7] Print off a load of flyers announcing the repeats and hand them to people on street corners. If they don't take them, follow them until they do

8] Shout out the date and time of the repeats in the street/pub/library/other local meeting area

9] Set up a sponsored 'Record the Knightmare episodes from Challenge TV' event

10] Send many letters of many thanks to Challenge TV for listening to their viewers and realising that Knightmare is popular enough to warrant these repeats

11] Send many letters of much disappointment to the other television stations that ignored us and the fact that Knightmare is popular enough to warrant these repeats

12] Repeat the previous 11 methods

Ok, so some of these ideas are a little more impractical than others, but we want as many people as possible to know that the repeats are on, as there may still be some people who like Knightmare, but have no idea it has been repeated on Challenge TV!

I think the ideas also stress the point that the good people at Challenge TV are now, of course, our good friends, and we want to repay their decision by showing them that Knightmare is still popular amongst everyone, and it can get them some good viewing figures!

Yeah, Spellbinder was good! I can't recall much of it, but I think I only saw the first series when it was on terrestrial television (but I still can't remember what channel it was on)! I don't think I saw the second series.

There were also two novelisations of the TV series (one for each series I think), and I bought them ages ago... I should still have them somewhere!
