This actually happened to me last week....
I came across a narrow cycle path stuck inbetween two pavements, and thinking I was a contestant on Knightmare, jumped over the cycle path worried that I would otherwise fall to certain doom with Treguard's "Oooh, Nasty!" ringing in my head.

You go on a flat escalator/moving walkpath in an airport...thinking it was "The corridor of Blades".
Worry that a homeless person you pass by might be Sylvester Hand who might jump at with his magic rope.
and I'm suprized no-one though of this...

Between 2001 and 2005, an annual project known as the Knightmare RPG allowed several volunteers to do just that... with the actual helmet and eyeshield props! Not a bad outcome of watching too much Knightmare. If you're curious, the Knightmare Infosite and Interactive Knightmare website have more information on some of the Knightmare RPG Seasons.
