Great thread, though I should use it more often!

Re:Knightmare Limericks -
Knightmare ratings - official figureThat's quite good for kids TV. I'm glad I helped somewhat to that ratings figure. hehe

Death ClipsThanks for the link James! Fantastic stuff!

Re:Series 1 Episode 1You know, before this Series actually aired for the first time, I had saw adverts for this show which did not impress me as it looked dark and boring and was not my cuppa tea at all. *.
The day the first episode aired I was watching CITV programmes anyway while eating dinner and then Knightmare came on and I sat through the whole episode.
I WAS HOOKED! I was dying to see what happened the next week. This was new to me and instantly became my fave TV programme ever!
When the first team died in the dark room [presumably there was a wellway hidden in the darkness], I actually thought the dugeoneer had died for real, and I was in a state of disbelief for a brief moment until I saw that he was alive and well with scroll in hand, joined by his team on their way home!
I can't remember the last time I saw telvision that did this to me!*

Knightmare ratings - official figureWhat did Knightmare rate in it's actually original run during it's CITV hey-day!
Series by series if possible. Episode by episode would be asking too much,... but I'll accept it if it's achievable!!!

They would never say...Series 7
Sidriss: Oh dear! I've missed my Mensa meeting! Father will be happy!
Actually,.....I wouldn't be surprised if she did say that!
-
They would never say...Series 2!
Gretal: Where's Hansel?
Mildred: In my oven!
Gretal: Why?
Mildred: Cos the cauldren is in the shop! [Cackle]

Re:3 word storyI was slightly amused by this story 3 word thingy, but then it became a bit of a [non] joke, and I was dying to put .....dismissed! THE END. on my addition, but alas, someone else beat me to it!
Well done to them! They deserve a medal! This is one Knightmare quest that they succeeded!

John Woodnutt condolence threadI'm very sorry to hear of John Woodnutt's passing!
Thanks to Kirean for the Doctor Who episode titles. As a fan [particularly of the late 80's] I must also look these up too.
I must also keep my eyes peeled for John's appearance in Terry & June. I have the first 6 series on DVD so I better start watching again.
You learn something everyday! Not always good news, but always something new!

Series 3 - Episode 3Just watched this episode again today! That sword is still scary, but I still like to watch it.
"Dire emergency team!"
The next team had a scene that I found rather amusing where they meet Velda. She asks them for proof of their quest and the dugeoneer throws down the gauntlet! I thought it was so funny the way he throws it down as if it was with attitude. If that was the dugeoneers attempt to add comic effect, he timed it well. I just had to laugh! I loved it!
I'm also surprised he didn't tell her to pick it up, ....in a commanding voice. They would've probably been killed off or at least suffered, but it sure would've been must-seen tv if he did! hehe

the gargoyleGosh! I can't remember one in Series 3. I'll have to check back. I've just started watching Series 3 again today. Saw the first 4 episodes.
Thanks for the pics!

Re:Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road? Why did the chicken cross the road?
The same reason the dugeoneer crossed the causeway!
-
Death ClipsSaw that the other week! That's when the dugeoneer is sliced in the Corridor of Blades, but this time unlike before, blood splatters across the screen!.... Ooh nasty!
-
Knightmare on Mondays!I know Knightmare was a Friday after school show, but for the first couple of series it was shown on a Monday! Am I right? I'm sure I am!

Re:Knightmare LimericksKNIGHTMARE LIMERICK CORNER
The dungeon was open once more,
For commence of a quest as before,
The fire would burn,
But if they take a wrong turn,
They'll fall through a hole in the floor!
Level One was full of clues,
And many items to use,
Decisions to make,
And directions to take,
With plenty bombs with a lit fuse!
And so now we are in Level 2,
Where the dangers are waiting for you,
With a starving lifeforce,
You need food of course,
And some magic to help see you through!
Arrival in Level 3,
Where the undead roam around free,
Before imminent demise,
Spellcasting is wise,
I surely hope you agree!
The end of the quest is near,
With one final obstacle here,
With the Shield in your sight,
To protect you from fight,
It won't protect you from fear!
The end of your quest is a mess,
Where you make a mistake in distress,
The death is so ghastly,
Treguard says "Nasty",
D.I.S......M.I.S.S.

Good and bad advisorsIn relation to Herbie's comment! "Poison" or "Potion"? Can't the dugeoneer read? They didn't deserve to go any further. I'm surprised they didn't turn back,....puposely!
-
the gargoyleThere was no gargoyle! There a dragon called Owen! Mind you, nobody ever made it to the end of the dugeon in Series 3, so maybe the gargoyle may have appeared after then, but I seriously doubt that!

Directions to Level 4!You know! I agree with you about Series 2! It was fave until I started watching all the episodes on DVD recently.
Series 2 has all the classic early rooms such as ,The Mills Of Doom [which I love but no one ever died here which is a bit disappointting, they added the spooks in Series 3],the Corridor of Spears, etc. It was basic without all that outdoor shots of the woods and so on. I prefered it without the Eyeshield, but have now grown to like Pickle. I forgot all about Majida though, but I grew to like her too, but she was on the wrong programme, but was loyal. Credit where credit's due!
I always remember Elita over the years due her "Faceache" catchphrase. We though that was funny, but I didn't know her name until recently!
-
Series 4 Episode 10This was a bit unfair! I was confused by this, but then again Backgammon confuses me.
I didn't understand this at all. If I was the dungeoneer, I would've booked my place on the next bus before the quest had ended. Okay that's not true. I would've got somebody else to do it.
The Block And Tackle, huh! I love this room soooooo much. It has been more fatal than Motley's jokes, well almost!
This room always seemed to get panic going which I just loved. They were the best bits, where you're in your chair moving from side to side, shouting at the TV hoping the dugeoneer would do the smart thing! lol

Series 3 - Episode 3Mmm! You're probably right! I still think it all happened too quick though! Not to worry!
