I love the second introduction so much. I hadn't seen KM at all for years: and then at the RPG I got shown some episodes (and thankfully did not pass out at sight of the causeways again)-- and, oh, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I got that old thrill I used to get when I sat and watched Knightmare. The first one's always classic, but I'm a little too young to really be enamoured of it. So to find out who the lucky sod (allowed to use that word as it's part of my name, and as such less of an insult, and ergo halfly special) was would be wonderful. Maybe it wasn't even a child...

Knightmare Chat!!...my name's been mentioned here more than I've posted on these boards! Me nose be burning, it be. I've missed so many KM chats recently. Sniff, sob, sniff. I want to play Deal, No Deal. I tried to make my housemates play Mornington Crescent, but they didn't get it...
And my toe, the eponymous villain of Sodmytoe fame, is much better. So that name should not be appearing in the chat any more.
Which means next trivia round (zomg, knightmare trivia should be available all the tiiiime) I'll have to start at the bottom again... Snurgle.

Good Idea, Bad IdeaGood idea: side-stepping to the right...
Is the bad idea side-stepping to the OTHER right?

Own a winners trophy!I'd say it's hiltono's choice whether he sells it or not. If I'd have won it (I was too young to even apply sniff) I know I'd probably sell it.
Why?
Because if it was just hanging around my bedroom, there's a distinct possibility I would stab myself with it, and end up breaking it. I'm clumsy.
But really - it's his choice. He has the memories of having it, the proof of winning - and as we ALL should know by now - it's not the things you own that prove you won Knightmare - winning Knightmare is a thing to be proud of in itself. Just knowing he won is more than enough of a prize! And if selling it can gain him some peace of mind now, then good luck to him.

Knightmare VR ruined the classicI think that really I don't mind how they do it, I'd just like a whole new load of kids to experience the sheer terror of seeing the Corridor of Blades for the first time. Bring it on!

10 years ago...g I remember someone telling me that Hugo Myatt had died, and that was why there was no new series... I really don't know who told me that - probably was the simplest way to explain to a distraught nine year old that her favourite series wasn't going to be on anymore. Probably the happiest thing I've learnt since joining the fandom is that he's still alive - it was definitely an amazing feeling, that it was just [a very roundabout accumulative series of problems well described by Mr. Child] rather than what I thought for a long, long time!

TAPE PIRACYHm, you might have thought though that some idiot spending £63 on a bootleg copy of Knightmare season 7 might be inspirational to Granada to finally getting around to releasing the DVDs... if people are willing to spend that much on one crappy video of the whole series...
Besides, we faithfully buy all the SG-1 episodes on DVD despite seeing them on TV...

Greetings! :)You can call me Hannah if you like
I'm not a chav (we call them charvers up north), nor a goth. Although I wear black a lot.
I used to say "Enter stranger" a lot until my mum told me off for letting strangers in the house. "oooh nasty" is usual reserved for "You've been framed" reruns.
And according to style.org, "the average cruising airspeed velocity of an unladen European Swallow is roughly 11 meters per second, or 24 miles an hour. "
Thank you for the kind welcomes!!
